ANZSSA publishes a professional journal, JANZSSA, in two issues per year. JANZSSA is free access and concentrates  on the role that student services in post secondary education takes in enhancing student engagement, participation, wellbeing and success. 

JANZSSA publishes refereed and non-refereed papers, as well as Best Practice Case Examples, Reports, Reviews and Conversation Pieces. See:

JANZSSA is your professional journal and can only be successful with contributions from ANZSSA members.

Contributing to JANZSSA is encouraged through any of the four roles:

3. Associate Editor - assists in the preparation of each issue for publication by reading and assessing the readiness for publication of each article submitted. This role supports the editor/s in JANZSSA's publication and helps provide guidance and feedback to authors on articles submitted. The role of associate editor is a key role for anyone with a view to becoming a JANZSSA editor. If you are interested in joining the JANZSSA editorial team please contact <>

4. Editor - JANZSSA Editors review each article submitted and assess suitability for publication in JANZSSA, organise peer reviews, provide guidance and feedback to authors on articles submitted, proof read all articles and publish each issue. All these roles are rewarding and will contribute significantly to your professional development and all ANZSSA members are invited to ensure JANZSSA's success by actively engaging with the journal as author, peer reviewer, associate editor or editor.
