Topics and speakers included:

 

• Setting the Scene for Student Services Sector in 2024: Opportunities, Challenges & Priority Areas of Focus for Directors. The session used a Café Conversation Style and Group Discussion to identify hot topics and priorities, and explore the ANZSSA network can collaborate, support and influence.

 

• National Codes, Student Wellbeing and Safety and Addressing Gender-Based Violence in Universities presented by Renee Hamilton and Tia Spanos from the Accord Implementation Project, Department of Education.

 

• Gender-based Equity and Gender-Based Violence in Universities – Prevention in Action presented by Georgia Killick from Our Watch.

 

• ANZSSA 2024 – Informing and Shaping Priorities to Connect, Support, Inform and Influence. The Group Discussion identified next steps to enable ANZSSA to best serve the interests of our DOSSANZ network and our broader student service sector colleagues.
